Are cameras necessary?

We sold our townhouse in peak times in 2023. Sold from one day of open house. No cameras anywhere.

Now in the process of buying again and mostly every house has a ring door bell (that I get), but a lot of listings have cameras in every single room. It makes me feel weird as a potential buyer. And agents are weird about them too, saying not to say anything about the house while inside.

Is this the norm now? Is this for security or just the ability to be nosey and gather real time feedback?

Question With Tricon "Pending ID".....

My wife and i, along with 2 other peopl applied to rent a house, and our application says "Approved, Pending ID". Anyone else know what that means?
