Advice on apartment damage

I recently moved into an apartment and discovered some damage. Most of it I managed to report on my damage checklist, but I have since discovered more. Some of it is pretty justifiable as wear and tear, but I’ve discovered more. How should I approach this situation? For context I’ve been living here for just over a week. Some examples of the damage are little chips on my bathtub, or chips on countertops (smaller than a nickel). Should I speak to management about this? What else can I do to protect my deposit?

My wife and i, along with 2 other peopl applied to rent a house, and our application says "Approved, Pending ID". Anyone else know what that means?
