My fiancé owns 30 acres in Missouri where we live, and is behind on property tax. If it’s not paid by the end of next month his property could be auctioned off, I’m trying to figure out if there’s some sort of loophole or anything that could help us with this situation. Due to life circumstances it’s been a hard few years and just a struggle.
If he was to simply give the property to someone else, or “sell” it, how does that work if he owed tax on it?
