How costly is it to undo a split level home and how long would something like this take?

I’m currently in the middle of trying to purchase a split level home that’s been sitting on the market for 100+ days, that just undergone a $100k price reduction. I hate the split level floor plan. However, I love the home because of the location and size it has to offer.

My question is would it be possible to undo a split level home so it’s a normal home, that has a first floor and second floor? And how costly would this be? I hope I’ll be able to hear feedback from people who have experienced something like this and what your take would be. Thanks so much.
