I’m in the process of moving out of the home I am selling. Closing is in about a week and a half.
I removed part of my baseboard along a wall to allow a media console to sit flush against the wall. The house was photographed and shown like this. The inspector did not seem to notice it, nor have the buyers. When I move the media stand out of the room, the 70” of missing baseboard will be apparent. I no longer have the piece of baseboard, so to fix it I’d have to hopefully find the exact match and have it cut to size (gave away my saw in preparation for the move). I’ve got enough on my plate, I really don’t want to deal with this.
Since it was sold that way I don’t think I should have to fix it. But I’m hearing that I do have to fix it? Thoughts?
