I’m looking at using a joint mortgage (with a longtime friend, not a significant other) to purchase my first home to start my real estate investment journey.
We live/work in Los Angeles and prices around here aren’t exactly beginner friendly if purchasing alone. I figure using a joint mortgage gives me a little more breathing room for learning and leaves me with extra cash for a potential real estate dip in the near future to purchase a second investment property (almost definitely out of state though).
Anybody here have any horror stories dealing with a joint mortgage, things to look out for, positive experiences...?
