Currently house hunting in the Boulder, CO area. Market is pretty stale here. I have noticed several houses I've been watching for months some how manipulate their listing data so that they appear "new" on Zillow. I want to know how they can do that?
Per my realtor for my old house, the listing data is MLS record. You cant just make the history of having the house listed disappear because you pull the listing off MLS.
In one example, this house was flipped. Sold in May and listed i believe in August for 200k more. Just today its showing as a new listing, despite being on my radar for a while now. When I look at the price history, the previous August listing is missing and it shows listed date as 10/17. How is this possible? I've looked at the listing for this house many times in the last few weeks. It met my search criteria, has a street name thats memorable and meaningful to me and the flip makes it stand out from other listings in the area.
