Wallpaper in a staged and updated home: harbinger of doom?

I am in love with the location of a home in my city, and sent the link to my spouse: Immediately, he nixed any discussion because the kitchen is covered in wallpaper.

The home has been freshly painted interior and exterior, they’ve updated the yards, and the kitchen has ugly wallpaper. Appliances updated, new furniture staged, but ugly floral wallpaper

He says if the walls were in reasonable shape, or the wallpaper possible to remove, it would’ve been removed prior to the showing. he says ifs a non-starter

Any counter-thoughts or is wallpaper really that terrible? (i never experienced wallpaper in my living spaces)

Question With Tricon "Pending ID".....

My wife and i, along with 2 other peopl applied to rent a house, and our application says "Approved, Pending ID". Anyone else know what that means?
