how do people manage renting out their property that are in diff country?

when i visit SEA, i always heard about apartment building or houses rented out but the owner is somewhere in china or US.

i have a fully paid off house in us, but my family is in asia and i plan to return there in the next few years. selling this house could prob net me 500-600k in the current market but that feels like a shortsighted decision.

ive been renting it out for airbnb and its been quite successful, but can i continue that when i moved back to asia? how do those real estate bosses manage properties in diff countrries? i assume employees or a rental property management company. but how do they make sure they dont get cheated on by the management?

Question With Tricon "Pending ID".....

My wife and i, along with 2 other peopl applied to rent a house, and our application says "Approved, Pending ID". Anyone else know what that means?
