We are hoping to buy a home that needs some repairs. The major ones will be requested in the offer, however I have 3 concerns. There is some wood damage on the bottom of a built in shelf from a resolved leak, a hole in laminate tile in the bathroom, and the converted garage smells like cat pee (we plan to convert back, so aren’t concerned about it). Will a VA appraiser be likely to not finance the home with those issues? I’ve been told they are strict, but not sure how bad they are. The home is listed way below value
