We were interested in a home and ended up coming in third in bidding. The first offer ended up backing out after a disagreement with resolving an issue with the chimney separating from the house. The sellers now went to sell as is. I'm still interested and the sellers have been transparent in sending over the contractor assessment however - to someone with admittedly no background in this - this just seemed inexpensive for the area (Fairfield County, CT) and the description of the problem.
Does anyone happen to have any insight into whether this seems like an appropriate assessment and is this the type of issue that should just scare me off entirely?
