How can I capitalize in this situation?

Hey everyone, I’m helping a woman who was evicted while hospitalized find a place to stay urgently. I could also really use some extra cash to fix my car. Is it possible to earn a finder’s fee for connecting her with a landlord? Should I be upfront about wanting one, or is that not common? Any advice from people with rental or real estate experience would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!
