Can anyone share their experience with rent-to-own agreements?

Been thinking about diving into this rent-to-own thing for a while now, and I gotta say, I'm kind of on the fence about it. On one hand, it sounds like a pretty sweet deal - you get to live in the place while slowly working towards owning it, right? But then, I've heard horror stories about hidden fees, crazy interest rates, and all that jazz.

Anyone out there got some real-life experience with this? Like, did it work out well for you, or did you end up regretting it big time? I'm all ears for your stories, good or bad. And if you've got any tips or things to watch out for, I'd definitely appreciate the heads up.

I'm just trying to weigh my options here and figure out if it's worth taking the plunge. Renting's cool and all, but there's something appealing about the idea of owning my own place someday.

Question With Tricon "Pending ID".....

My wife and i, along with 2 other peopl applied to rent a house, and our application says "Approved, Pending ID". Anyone else know what that means?
