Earnest money

I purchased a home and received the keys today, contract fully signed and completed. Hours later my realator sends me an email stating I never paid the earnest money required. Throughout this whole process she never mentioned I had to send any earnest money. Can I simply ignore her and move on with my life? I have the keys and the house is mine, why would I send the earnest money now?
