Got a call from my property agent to say the tenants had brought in a rabbit and have asked what I wanna do about it, i.e. say its not allowed or just put in a Pet Clause. I dont really know much about rabbits, done a quick google search where a bunch of people say they can damage a bunch of stuff and another bunch saying rabbits are fine. My questions are as follows
- Does anyone have experience with this
- Why would people not allow tenants to have pets if you could have a pet clause to protect you? I assume the answer is because even though the tenants will be forced to pay for any damage, it is still a hassle to organise the repairs to be done? This may be an issue if damage is found as the tenants move out and then I'm unable to house new tenants until the repairs are finished
Anyway please let me know if I'm overlooking anything. Thank you.
