How to buy land in the middle of nowhere?

First off, I apologize if this is the wrong place for this sort of post, if there's a better place for something of this nature I would very much appreciate a heads up. However, I digress.

Essentially, I'm just wondering how one might go about buying land in the middle of nowhere. I'm talking middle of the woods, no utilities, maybe dirt road access. Would a local realtor be able to help me out? Or would I be better off looking to the BLM? I'm not looking to buy much, I just want it to be someplace I can go to be totally off the grid and relax while totally engulfed in nature. Any leads or advice would likewise be much appreciated.

Question With Tricon "Pending ID".....

My wife and i, along with 2 other peopl applied to rent a house, and our application says "Approved, Pending ID". Anyone else know what that means?
