It seems like the US concept of what a starter home is has changed significantly. I'm curious what your thoughts are.
Starter homes in my area historically have been detached sfr's, 1000sf or less, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, several decades old, outdated and usually not located near your top choices location-wise. You would be lucky to get one with a garage or without needing some serious improvements. But it definitely would be livable.
Even in this crazy market we've had the past few years there are still plenty of this type of tradional starter home available at starter home prices. What do you think of as a starter home and are these available in your area?
