Question regarding rental offer not being accepted

Hi,

My partner and I have put in a full offer for a rental. The real estate agent for the owner said it had to be a full offer as they won't consider anything less. We put in offer in the day we viewed it.

They didn't accept our offer yet and the unit is still listed for rent (it has been on the market for over a week at a reduced price). My realtor said the most likely reason they haven't accepted yet is because the selling agent is looking to bring a renter of his own so he gets the full commission.

Is this something that occurs often? I really liked the property which is why we offered full price.

Question With Tricon "Pending ID".....

My wife and i, along with 2 other peopl applied to rent a house, and our application says "Approved, Pending ID". Anyone else know what that means?
