What should I do ? A big house or two smallers

Okay so basically i got a certain amount of money that I was putting on the side for a while. Now that I feel that I have enough I was planning on buying a house. I do not really intend to go live there right now since I’m still studying. So I was wondering, economically speaking if I wished to make some money from renting the house would it be better if I take one big house or 2 smaller ones in different countries. Also since my objectif on this is to have a secure long-term revenue while at the same time an asset on my name, I was also thinking about doing something else with my amount (stock, bonds...) before investing in real estate.

I am really not experienced in this and the decision feels huge for me Thanks my fellow redditors

Question With Tricon "Pending ID".....

My wife and i, along with 2 other peopl applied to rent a house, and our application says "Approved, Pending ID". Anyone else know what that means?
