I bought a new build in TX, the builder promised it would be done in June then October, November and now I'm not sure they know. The build quality is less than ideal.My mortgage application is about to expire. I locked in at 4.2 and now my rate will jump up to a 5.2 unless I do an ARM. If I live in a different residence, can I claim my new build taxes and fees in my taxes? I plan to keep both and live in the new home. Should I sue the builder? If I bail, might not get my deposit money so I’m concerned. Thanks
