I’m in Texas and purchased a new construction townhome in a great, up and coming neighborhood. My place should be completed and ready for move-in in two months from now.
I noticed a major building being built on the cross street (about 4 or 5 houses away and across a road from me). I searched the building permits and found it will be a new middle school, slated to open in Fall ‘23.
Experts, what will this do to the value of my home? I expect all property to appreciate aggressively in the neighborhood I’m in, but was unsure of how being this close to a school would affect me in particular.
Crime and safety ratings are terrific in this neighborhood and other local schools are rated high as well.
