So we just got an offer accepted, and I may be in the minority but I’m pretty stressed out about it having a pool. I was really hoping for a house without a pool because we have a toddler. It just so happened that we got an offer accepted for a house that happened to have a pool. We are in CA, so I know it adds value to the house, but I feel like I will be in constant anxiety with fact that my child is in danger around it. It is tucked on the side of the pool and has a gate, but it’s still dangerous. Can you give me some pros and cons of having a backyard pool? Never had one before, not looking forward to maintenance costs either. But we don’t think that is a reason enough to pull out of the sale necessarily. If I didn’t have a kid I think I would enjoy having one.
