I didnt realize how crucial it was to have an active listing agent. My agent being so desperate for a sale insisted I take the first offer that came in within 3 hours of the listing. I told her I wanted to wait for more offers. She said I likely wouldnt get any. Said my house would sit on the market 6 months. I said then I will have to rent it but I am Never taking the first offer in 3 hours on anything. After no more offers came in the next day she terminated the contract. Now i have to relist with someone else. How does one avoid this in the future? Also she called the buyers agent and told them they left out some things from their offer?, like the inspection I was furious.
