Should I buy a house without physically looking at it or just rent till I am in the area to better evaluate?
I am military and will be moving in the winter, it will be my first time buying a house and the timing with not being able to look at it beforehand makes things tricky. Is it bad practice to buy a house based on pictures/FaceTime alone without physically being there to see it, or would it make more sense to rent for a year and then start trying to buy a house when I am in the area. The only downside to renting temporarily I can think of is not living in the house for as long and missing out on some of the essentially free money the military gives you. Thank you
