There are lots of threads on here where buyers have discovered issues after closing that they feel had to have been known by the previous owner, yet were not disclosed. The advice is usually that yes, you can go after the seller, but your chances of success are slim and will be expensive.
Does the community have any examples of successfully pursuing a seller after closing for a defect in the property? I personally don't know of one. I suspect they are rare, but it would be interesting to hear about successful cases.
