My husband and I live in a pretty up and coming area in North Carolina. Our equity in the house has increased significantly over the past three years we’ve owned the property. With that said, we are moving across the country and I’m curious if we should rent our house. We are not quite ready to sell the house as we would like to explore the state we are relocating to and want to have the option to return if we want to.
Also, I’m wondering how renting a property in our new state would work when we have a mortgage against our names in NC. Do we have to have a lease agreement signed in NC in order to show that that mortgage is not a liability in order to be approved for a place to live in the new state?
I appreciate any help y’all have! Thanks in advance.
