Last Minute extension by the Buyer

Hello!

So I sold my home and was supposed to move today. Our closing day for both selling and buying our new property was today. One day before the moving, the buyer asked for an extension claiming their mortgage didnt come through. They are asking for maybe a 2 week extension. The other problem is the home we bought is from the bank, so they would be charging us interest on the mortgage for the delay.

What would be the best advice in this situation? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

My wife and i, along with 2 other peopl applied to rent a house, and our application says "Approved, Pending ID". Anyone else know what that means?
