As the title notes, this is a multi billion dollar industrial town with a neighborhood along for the ride. At one point I was optimistic that I could make something out of it, an artistic old town kinda thing, a social landscaping of creatives, just got an old school barber shop that moved in.
With that being said, part of me thinks it is a lost cause. The industry is a chemical plant and god knows it's good for no ones image, much less their health. The plant also provides clients to these businesses and without it, it'd probably be worst for me financially. Yet, awhile backI thought I had the potential to change the perception.
We have 6 commercial spaces so far, many empty, I think that is the worst thing. I'd give away rent, abatements just to add some life to the block but I don't know if this can ever be more than what it is?
What would you do?
